Christmas With A Twist Take 2...

Hi folks...I'm back to share the card we made at Saturday's afternoon workshop...not just any old card...a rather special card with a twist using Karen Burniston's fabulous original Sizzix Album Accordion Flip 3-D 658036 and Frame & Label Bracket 658037 Dies...

we used Hickory Smoke Distress Paint (my new favourite Christmas colour) to colour the frames and labels and overstamped snowflakes from Tim's gorgeous Mini Weathered Winter stamp set using Hickory Smoke Distress Ink...creating a beautiful tone on tone effect. The snowflakes on the labels were stamped with Distress Embossing Ink...sprinkled with Sticky Embossing Powder and given gorgeous sparkly highlights using...surprise...surprise...Ranger's Vintage Foil...
the trees from Tim's Treeline Stamp set were stamped with Ground Espresso Distress Ink with die cut Stacked Snowflakes with sparkly gem centres added to finish off...
there is no limit to the amount of panels you can use...in fact...I'm going to make a 9 panel Christmas Accordion Sensation to decorate this year's Christmas mantlepiece...wishful thinking perhaps or a statement that may well jump up and bite me on the bum...watch this space.
In the meantime I'm on a mission to complete the project for November's Workshop at The Papeterie on the 14th...it was a slight logistical oops to schedule it for days after I return from The NEC bearing in mind that the old body is likely to be having a hissy fit and in "the day after the day after" protest mode after all those fun Fiskars frolics.

  3. OMG, Kath...
this is just fantastic!! What a wonderful creation and I love the colours that you picked for it. Tis is more than a card, it's a work of art and something that you can bring out every Christmas to decorate the room. I love it and I hope that you manage to make your nine panel piece and, if you do, I'm sure we're all looking forward to seeing it in all its glory.
